On feeding and oatmeal

Many people wonder how Dillon is learning to feed himself. Well, the finger foods are easy, he eats as any one year old eats. The bowl and spoon feeding has come a bit later for him, but he can now do it with ease and loves to feed himself! He especially loves oatmeal. The oatmeal canister comes out of the pantry and the boy starts pointing at it and whining for it. It's awesome. We eat a lot of oats around here, and we let Dillon feed himself, not worrying about the extra mess he sometimes makes :). He will put his spoon on his tray, pick up his bowl, put the bowl between his little right arm and chin, then pick up his spoon and feed himself. Its amazing how he has learned to adapt and grow. So exciting to see all that he is figuring out! Three cheers for oatmeal!
