Its been a year since we held our sweet little Dillon for the first time. Five pounds felt so amazingly small! I know some of you have tiny babies, but not me. My first three were 8 lbs, 8 lbs 5 oz, and 9 lbs 15 oz. Yes, my only girl was almost a 10 pounder. Five pounds was tiny! I remember feeling so excited, but as I've posted before, scared of when his limb loss would look "normal." It took only a brief second, and then Dillon was just Dillon. It was normal, he is normal, and lovely. Honestly it hasn't been that tough of a year as far as changes are concerned. A baby is a baby, and he is simply amazing. Dillon crawls, eats, babbles, smiles, and enjoys life. Our older kiddos have loved on him so well, and we are all blessed. Sure, we've had to deal with a few comments and looks here and there, but God continues to be good and faithful. There are a lot of things up in the air about our housing situation, D's wheelchair, etc, and we're praying daily for God's direction in our decision-making. We're praying this year won't hold more challenges for our little man, but know that there may be some big changes for all of us this year. We trust in the Lord, and know that He is in control. We are grateful for this gift of Dillon, so grateful. What an amazing joy he is! Here are some snapshots from this year. Thanks for keeping up with us!
