Dillon's sweet Physical Therapist and her husband made him a tiny walker (as most baby/toddler walkers are WAY too huge for our little boy). We're trying to help him understand sitting up and moving. He can't sit on his own yet, but we work on it constantly. Can you imagine how hard it is to do something like sitting when you don't have your legs to balance you? Anyway, he's doing great, and can sit by himself without assistance for a few seconds. He can sit for a long time leaning against a couch or the wall. Now, we're trying not only to encourage him to sit, but also to encourage him to move while in the sitting position. His walker is adorable, but he has hated it for the last few months. The boy just doesn't want to be contained. However, today he ended up really enjoying himself in the walker, and even scooted around the house twice. So fun! Thought I'd pass along a couple photos of D playing catch with his big brother, while balancing in his walker.
Oh, so fun! He is such a happy boy - love him so much! What a great PT to always go the extra mile for him. He will catch on quickly then nothing will stop him! Watch out world!
ReplyDeleteThat smile says it all.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cutie! You're making me think about how we could make something like this for Zachary!
ReplyDeleteI seriously love watching how Dillon develops. He is an absolute inspiration to me and he's not even two yet! I can't wait to see how he inspires the world as he grows up! Love you guys. You're doing a great job.
